What was your first proper band?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. 1) Actually went out and bought myself was Floodland, aged 14 - I was a bit of a late starter..

2) First proper band was actually the Sisters..

1) First record ever bought was proaby a 2nd and copy of Brown Sigar by the stones, this came froma jumble sale in around 1976 where i also aquired Butch Soap by Yin and Yan and The Singing Nun!!! Forst LP I remember buying was kings of the wild frontier, but as my parents owned a secondhand shop i did have a few records already

2) First proper band i got into of my generation was either Frankie or The Smiths

first album:probably sheer heart attack, queen.

groups: the sex pistols siouxie and the banshees stiff little fingers ramones(and the band i was in that did lots of slf and ramones covers) oh and gary numan /tubeway army

do i still listen to them ......YES...YES and thrice YES

although i seem to have lost my copy of the smell of incense
i am more likely to release an album before the sisters
