I don't mind if you block it, so long as you've seen it.

To be honest, we've sold about 3 or 4 copies. Possibly more if Messrs Stripper and Fiend have sent off. We've not even sold enough to cover costs so far. That's why I've been advertising it so much.

just because I've seen it doesn't mean it's good marketing (eMarketing is a large part of my job). Click-thrus are important, not impressions.

And tactics which annoy your customer-base are best left to the idiots at the RIAA.

Do I get to sit on my high horse Re: The cost incurred in production and distribution of my music? ;D

Hint: It's one of the following:
a) Nought
b) Nothing
c) Nil

But I don't distribute on hard media or try to make any profit, so that might explain it :urff:

@Motz: that's the way forward, although I think you can still make a profit from it.

That would require asking for money. Which I naturally plan to do once people are hooked (demons, ice skates, coincidence?). Drug dealer tactics ftw ;)

Like I said, I'll pay for the petrol money, you can stay here, there's a " Rock / Indie night " in Aviemore every now and then, there's Inverness also.

Exactly. Motz gives away his music (which is most admirable), but I like having physical media, which is going to have a higher quality sound (let's face it, no-one's going to download uncompressed versions of my songs at 90MB a song).
We've made the CDs as high a quality as we can with as low a cost as possible, we can at least try to make up what we've lost.

Ah, the wonders of synthesized sound. I don't have these nasty "loss" problems, because my hardware doesn't record at a higher level than mp3 can handle ;)

I didn't even notice the flashing stuff in Dark's avatar, does that mean I'm slow?

Anyway, mine is some piece of art, a little Maria statue with a condom over it, thought it was funny. According to how I saved it, it's called extra virgin, but I can not find it back on google  (was something in the newspaper about it some time ago)

Thanks Paul! You've saved one cluster headache sufferer a bit of pain :)

Look, I've changed the avatar from a seizure inducing flash to a slightly more subliminal one.

It worked, though. I think.

Anyway, this thread grew immensely last night. Guess flashing avatars have advantages.
