Wicked! The first proper gig I ever went to was The Cult at the Odeon in Birmingham on the Electric Tour

I was at that gig, despite Astbury as much as telling us we were all wankers, the stuff off "Electric" was OK but they f**king well murdered all the older material. If my memory serves correctly weren't GBOA supporting and IMO blew the Cult off the stage.
This is the thing I've always found with The Cult, after the "Love" tour, they do the new stuff really well but murder the older stuff.
I've kept away from Cult gigs since 1992 but I'm going to the Brum gig and for £26 a ticket they better play "Spiritwalker" at least,or Messers Astbury and Duffy will be getting the rough end of my tongue,I'll tell you!

The Scotty's will be arriving in London from Forres on Thursday the 21st, Thursday night will be spent drinking :D .

All day in London (staying in Covent Garden) and the gig on the Friday, traveling home on the Saturday.

Any suggestions on where to go on Thursday night?.

Anyone else going and fancies a pint or five :innocent: ?

Soho ain't what it used to be, too many fashionable boutiques where there used to be plastic curtains ;-) Tis a shame....

I was at the Bradford date on that tour, and agree that their biggest crime was giving the old classics the hard rocking mutha treatment. Spiritwalker & even Moya getting the full baby, baby, baby treatment.

Unforgivable. :(

Got tickets for Leeds this morning too. :D
Been listening to some of the U.S. gigs lately, good banter with the crowd from Astbury and Duffy. Roll on September!

Clearly, what is required here is a wrestling ring. Any 'diffences / personality clashes / etc' can be settled in the Heartland Ring (let's build it in, say, Amsterdam, or Barcelona, somewhere nice). That'd be good.

Of course The Cult are w@nk. But they're funny, rocking, groovy w@nk, whether that was ever their intention or not. I mean, one of them supports city, FFS.  (Hi Jo). They'll still be good to watch now. Bit like that lot on Wednesday (can you tell I'm still bothered by how 'yikes' they were?)

Anyway, yeah, carry on girls....

[quote="Planet Dave"]Of course The Cult are w@nk [quote]

And?

Trying to organise a trip up the A1 by the Peterborough Wolfchildren (long story - good lads) for the above.

Another Passout submitted, stamped and approved

Come on, PD - you know you want to...
