actually, Dead End (L'Angelo) is located exactly on the digit 4 right north of where the marker is that is supposed to mark L'Angelo on the map.
great map otherwise!!

and as pandemon pointed out, pre-gig activities take place att Dead End as well.

I'm off to Malmö, will be spending some days with a friend. I'll try and make it to Volym - otherwise see you all at the gig. I'm the guy in the Soviet hockey jersey. (#20, should there be more than one. (: )

No surprise, indeed.

The only surprise was that the crowd was much less lively than I had thought, and that Hamburg was way better in all respects, band-wise but most of all crowd-wise. The KB is by the way over-loaded in all senses when such a "big" band plays there. There was also a feeling of -Entertainment forbidden- that I didn't experience there last time...although that was in 2001.

But well, things can improve tonight in Goffenburg, let's hope for it!

Hi to Johan&Johan&Robert and the travelling Germans :-)

Decent gig, good fun. Hard to hear the vocals at times, though. Would have been nice to hear Eldritch say something as well. Anything.

Average audience age: ~31. Felt like being at a John Fogerty gig.

I think he said "tack" once (transl. "thank you")...but it might have been "f**k".

I guess I must have been in exactly the right spot, because where I was standing, people were going s**t pretty much the whole show. :)
With the good aid of people like mugabe (yes, it was the hockey shirt that gave you away ;) ), we made sure to leave KB sweaty, bruised and happy.

Sound was a bit too "boomy", and Andrews voice just wasn´t audible enough, but I think that´s got to do with the acoustics of the venue.

It was a decent enough gig, and it felt great to see the Sisters in a place I visit so frequently, "on my turf" so to speak.

Cheers to Anders, Johan, Eva & the other fine people who made the evening what it was.
And a big yowsa! to DrSisters for the whole bootleg/e-mail thing. I´ll be in touch.

Heh. It's nice to let one's hair down once in a while and do the shimmy and shake. Good to hear at least one person wasn't just irritated. :)

Ok, I've got nothing to say about this gig except for it was the least good Sisters concert I've been experienced. It was over crowded and I couldn't hear/see anything. I walked around the venue to find that the only place I could hear Andrew was behind the mixing desk, but there everything was too low because of the chatting audience around me.

Dissapointed indeed. Ah well, it maybe has something to do with the excellent Hamburg gig the day before... I don't know.

The best thing about this gig was the afterparty with Ben - God what a nice person he is! :notworthy: 8)

And I was talking with Chris.. he wants to record an album with the Sisters, but not this year because he's busy, and I guess they all are with this never-ending tour.

Some reviews in Swedish newspapers...in Swedish, obviously.

First the good news: A quite ok, but short, review in one of the two national evening papers:

http://expressen.se/index.jsp?a=567369

It says something like "If you're open to new impressions, several new and unreleased songs and an massive wall of smoke, the Sisters of Mercy of today are actually better than what the rumours say"

The rest are local papers...one of them of course comment on When you don't see me, and none of them are really worth translating:

Executive summary: You couldn't hear the singing and you couldn't see anything. Pretty much sums up the whole tour. ;)
