Driven Like The Snow

cover of "I See A Darkness" by Bonnie "Prince" Billy (Von channeling this via Mr Johnny Cash would be superb)

'when the man comes around' would certainly be an interesting cover for him to try, if your talking cash...

too goth
I'd like him to do Cash's version of 'the mercy seat' (which is much better than Cave's imo)

Well seeing as it's gonna be my first time I'll be happy with almost anything... but please! don't destroy F&L&A anymore!

Cover-wise, I think "Good Morning Starshine" would fit the bill nicely. Although I'd be happy to hear "Uptown Top Ranking". Excellent version, that!

I would like to here a proper version of Uptown..

If he's covering Cash as an homage, I would love to hear him do Folsom Prison Blues - imagine the line "But I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die" with a driving bass line and grinding guitars?
[whoops - just came

Driving bass line is Doctor Avalanche into overdrive, these days. Good idea?
Cash would be wonderful coverwise

CORKING idea! Something akin to the intro to When You Don't See Me, with the bass line from Vision Thing. And given that this is probably their swansong, it doesn't really matter if the Doktor blows up, does it...?

If there is a Cash song to cover it would be "Sunday Morning Coming Down".
(Yes, I know it's a Kristofferson tune, but its still Johnny nonetheless.)

Err, we're talking Johnny Cash, not The Clash.

so lets do this wish listing before reality has proven me wrong......
the doctor (main job): give him back his balls (well, he had them for the last time in 1985, june.) simply let him be a drum machine, not a drummer... - free doctor avalanche!
the doctor (part time): more string sounds, e.g. the main line in flood 1 (which can be heard in the demo of flood 1)
the guitars: more athmospheric sounds, AND I WANT TO HEAR THE ACOUSTIC GUITAR DURING FLOOD 2 ! and a lead guitar sound which is warm and bright (sorry adam...), and solos which change from day to day (sorry adam)
the songs: driven like the snow would be nice, black planet, garden of delight, 1959, any type of improvisations, lights, and no war on drugs, will i dreams or slepts
the 25'th anniversary gift: yes
the leader: a leader in good mood, enjoying himself, not attacking the audience, and winning much manny in vegas. let there be love, andrew!
the audience: george w. bush in the first row. all others should enjoy it!
death to the sisters - long live the sisters!
happy birthday

Didn't Von once say something about DLTS being too personal to perform or something?
And there's also (in his eyes
) a very good reason why you won't get GoD

Speaking of personal, is it true that someone died/got injured whilst they were playing Temple and that's why they stopped playing it for a while?

Not sure, but it sounds plausible.

Personally, I would love to hear "No Time to Cry" but I'm not holding my breath.
