I persuaded the wife to come to this one as well, although she gets more excited by NMA. Should be a good gig
Are the HLer's meeting up beforehand?

Oh yeah, my mate Michie is coming as well..
He last saw the Sisters at Strathclyde Uni in 1985 (I think that's right..)
So you've got two Ayrshire boys to contend with!

Nearly. My bad math makes that 47-ish so far. We'll leave it to you to organise the private function room in a nearby pub for the pre-gig meet up. Just tell us which one.

1200 capacity on the floor + 400 upstairs.
It's my favourite venue in London but for some reason the last time The Sisters played there (2001) the gigs weren't particularly memorable.
I'm in two minds whether to give this one a miss to be honest.

I would have to agree - I also saw them there in 2001 and it certainly wasnt one of their best.
Still, they cant be great ALL the time so I'm happy to forgive and forget!
Heres hoping they raise the roof this time....

No Scardy, NO.
think about it: if you don't attend you will never know if the show was as bad as the 2001 ones. (Amphetamine) Logic, isn't it?

is it only 1200...i thought it was nearly 1500...
i agree with the Astoria being a good venue and it's possibly my second fave in London (Camden Underworld holds numero uno position)...you're talking to the converted re Sisters gigs there...after seeing them in the Forum numerous times and the odd Brixton show...the 2 shows in 2001 were a little disapointing...i just wonder if it's due to the Astoria feeling a little claustraphobic...
personally for me venue doesn't really matter...a great gig has a lot to do with the crowd and the band...and the company you attend with

According to this BBC News
report and this House of Commons
report (paragraph 13) it's got a 2,000 capacity.

Astoria acommandate 1600 people, as
Scardwel says, 1200 + 400 uspataris = 1600.
