What a record... now halfway through the b-side and that's just sublime (even after listening to it for about a million times in the last 20 years)

Agreed. It's saved my life on several occasions, actually, and continues to do so.
Just so you lot know, I rely on your excellent and esoteric tastes to inform me of both new stuff and old stuff that's new to me. Living (that's "
existing," you fool! ~Ed.) as I do in a tiny, culturally-bereft area of a tiny, culturally-bereft (for the most part) state, I find your collective musical insight invaluable. Keep it coming, folks.

I remember hearing their
Brighter than the Sun single for the first time over ten years ago and thinking it was one of the best Steinman era Sisters influenced bands I'd heard, and I've not change my opinion since.

New EP from How To Destroy Angels:
http://pitchfork.com/news/48516-stream- ... n-omen-ep/
Not an overly big fan of Trent, wifey & Co's material but Keep It Together is a pretty decent tune.
The Space In Between from the previous album is quite good too.
The rest? meh

I am a big fan of both Thunders and Sputnik but I had never thought of SSS as a rip-off of the Heartbreakers. I saw them more as a 1980's T.Rex - a sort of "Electronic Warrior" if you will.
But James worked with Thunders a lot and even made an attempt at re-remixing LAMF so I suppose there has got to be some influence.
I will play them both again with fresh ears.
Oh, thanks for the heads up I didnt know there was a new release of LAMF.
