The Great Heartland Biscuit Thread™

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

The Jaffa Cake Class have been taste testing the different flavours. Three of them, anyway. Strawberry was a bit dull, orange popular, but pineapple won. it has a bit of zing and a nice smell.

Couldn't find any lemon or blackcurrant ones.

Due to covid my usual sources for digestive biscuits have been unreliable. I ordered a box of 12, not noticing until they arrived that they were Burtons not McVitie’s.

2020 just keeps getting worse.

Oh, it was very much a prediction of my own personal scoffing. Cheese-eating is not a mandate. 🧀

Phewie! Cheese is boak!

Anyway, I'm now 3/4 of a way through a packet of bourbon - somebody stop me!

I'd like to think that I'm a reasonable man. I'd like to think that I'm compassionate, that I can find it in my cold black little heart to forgive most things. The passing of time makes this easier - I am prepared to forgive China for the Opium Wars, for swine/bird/mouse flu, for the Wu Tang Virus, for my getting fleeced by some bugger while I was there on holiday a few years back - all of these things can, and do, in time pale into insignificance.

But I'm afraid that I must take the gloves off. This is the final straw - clearly they're just trying my patience now, and enough is enough. Every man has his limit, and this is mine.
