The Joy Formidable. Think they're Yanks but not really sure, I heard it sometime this year on my brothers stereo and expressed my respect at the lovely indie-thrash-dancey(ish) racket they produced. Kinda a cross between New Order, QOTSA (ishish) and Curve (ishishish). In other words they sound like The Joy Formidable, and a very rocking sound it is too.
That's the most hopeless description imaginable, get em up on youtube and decide for yourself, whilst trashing my attempted description. I blame the end of a long run of nights, NYE with the cats and a large bottle of vodka.

And I've blasted through the remainder of the sangria, and have started on the pinot noir, myself. Perhaps a bit of bubbly, solo, at the stroke of the witching hour, we'll see.
