War On Drugs is - even in the US - as long ago as 2001 ... the last decade was spent on ... fighting terror ... :innocent:

imagine the feeling the government in Great Britain announce the closing of BBC at 16:00 and shutting it down at 23:59 with armed police forces after midnight and the next day closing down all transmitters around the country or the equivalent in Germany with ARD/ZDF/Deutsche Welle and all public radiostations, how is that sounds in your ears outside this country?
Best moment the time that the Golden Dawn Party made a public announcement that it was about time to close that channels that didn't broadcast their news and didn't invite them in their program to speak their word...

From the snopes link:
To pay off a billion dollars in nickels would require 20 billion of those coins. That amount would require Samsung to obtain the equivalent of all the nickels struck by the U.S. Mint in the last several decades. (In 2011, for example, the U.S. Mint produced less than one billion nickels, and 2010 less than half a billion.) Samsung would have to round up virtually every nickel in circulation to acquire over $1 billion worth of those coins, a feat that could hardly be accomplished without having a significant impact on the U.S. monetary system.

A hundred thousand (metric) tonnes of coins. Can you imagine the logistical nightmare inherent in trying to get that all together?

(Edit to add) and somewhere in the region of 13800 cubic metres of coins, (13779.58m³) not including the gaps between them. That's over 5-and-a-half Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Or assuming perfect cylindrical stacking, 15194.2m³ , just over 6 Olympic swimming pools.

Not so big trouble... ;D
You don't count such amount of coins of same value, you only have to weight them

Good luck weighing 100 000 tonnes with an error of less than 5g (the weight of one nickel)
