The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Me too. Quite a wearing experience after five or six tracks. Great energy though, like TSOM in the days of Adrenochrome and Sister Rayathons.sultan2075 wrote:My experience exactly.paint it black wrote:i started off liking it, but came to the conclusion the band was better than the singer - who became annoying to me![]()

Dark, fragile and haunting, ambient yet still very groovy.
Great noise and incredible presence on stage

THE MERRY THOUGHTS - MILLENIUM DONE / PSYCHOCULT
Easy to dismiss as ersatz TSOM, but once I gave them a listen I found I had to play them again and again.
The lyrics obviously aren't in the same league as Eldo's they don't have the wit and the elegance of the Cole Porter of Goth
But in the absence of any new material.......

One thing that's driving me nuts: the singer sounds so much like someone else, but I just cannot place it.
