Reserve hasn't been met yet. I'm just wondering : how much is this baby worth ? (and don't answer me "the world if you want so")

Not that I intend to purchase it myself. I already said I didn't like it and I stick to my word. Just curious.

The seller only has an ebay rating of 1. Personally I'd avoid paying big bucks to someone with such a low rating.

They might just have found it and decided "Hang on.. this is worth something.. let's open an eBay account and sell it", hence the low rating.

Yes, that's true but personally I'd not pay a couple of hundred pounds or however much the item goes for, to an ebay seller with such a low rating. That might put some bidders off, and perhaps it will go for a cheaper price than normal and the buyer actually get a bargain.

I avoid e-bay, my life is complicated enough as it is...

The last few on ebay have gone for around £300 to £350 I think.

Glps :!:

"The record gets played on the radio. Described by the band as "unobtainable and even more unlistenable", 'THE DAMAGE DONE / WATCH / HOME OF THE HIT-MEN' is now worth hundreds of pounds - and it's still rubbish."

And it's not me who says so.

I know, what can you say? It's mad.

I hear what you're saying. It's about the only official thing I haven't got. And I don't think I ever will. My wife (a big Sisters fan herself) would kill me if I ever spent that much on a crap single

Matt..

It's a good single, it just costs far too much.

Same with Body Electric. The other releases on CNT aren't really worth a great deal just because the label went bust, it's just because that single is by the Sisters.
It's also pretty damn good.

Body electric IS a huge single. Damage done ain't worth a penny :innocent:
(yeah, I know we disagree on that matter)

I thought the same thing. Then thought f**k it and spent a lot of money on a copy! The only things I'm missing now are :

When You Don't See Me 7"
Under The Gun 7"
More 1993 12"

Didn't reach the sellers reserve price

EUR 251.00 (Reserve not met)
(Approximately £172.21)

I've seen this one before on Ebay (at least once), same seller, same item, same reserve that wasn't met... Those f**king reserves

let's keep in mind it's "worth" only what a buyer is willing to pay.

ebay is a good test to see, but also remember that auctions typically last 7 days, and unless a buyer has a saved search, that week is only 2% of the year and could be missed.

also some people are more flush with cash at different times of year - tax refund season in the USA, for example.

ebay also leads to vastly inflated prices...

it can, yes. but nobody should bid more than what they are willing to pay, and that's the market value.

those looking for a bargain must be crafty and patient, and look outside of ebay as well.

I'm not used to eBay, nor am I to auctions in general. Can someone explain to me why the reserve price went up ? (from 101€ to 251€) What's the point ? Preventing people from buying the item ? Sounds stoopid.

What people are willing to pay and market value are 2 different things - only got to look at concert tix for that..
Do you think the Stones or Madonna could get away with charging £100+ per ticket if it wasn't for ebay's artificial inflation of the market? (wandering OT there - sorry! :D )
But people often pay more than they can afford and they often buy rubbish but that's their look-out
And yeah, the best bargains aren't likely to be found on ebay.

Three copies of the Body electric 7" sold within one week. First one went for £25, second for £41, third for £55. Go figure.
