PLAY SOME DIFFERENT SONGS!

I wish the set lists could include some different tracks than the ones we've all heard for 5 years or so. Valentine and Marian in 2003 were great. What about Blood Money or Floorshow? Heartland? Or something never played live before? Give us a treat guys...

I understand that some US auds have not heard a lot of the material on offer, so it's exciting for them, but there are *a lot* of us who have seen shows and heard recordings of shows from the past 10 years who are a bit disappointed in the setlists so far. So keep Dominion and Temple and Vision Thing for those who want the old live favorites, but add a little spice for the rest of us, please!

Yeah, I've been looking at the setlists so far, and I'm not impressed. So boring.

Songs I´d like to hear:

Valentine
Burn
More (imagine how good it´d be!)
Something Fast
A Rock and A Hard Place
Logic
1959
Under the Gun
When You Don´t See Me

As far as I know 1959 is the only one of those tracks that has never been trotted out for an audience. I'd be thrilled with Floorshow, ecstatic with Good Things, and over the moon if they'd just do 9 while 9... all of which have been played live in years past, so at least the doktor is programmed.

Aye, but are the new guitarists?

For Vegas show i really wished for More coz i thought it would've been appropriate, and i still wish they'd bring back This Corrosion. Oh, and i've been hoping for Logic ever since they dropped it in 2001.
i'm not so sure a lot of their old songs would fit in with the setlist (Floorshow etc).

In general, i'm happy with whatever they play, as long as they do.

The Reptile House is always neglected, Fix (and Lights) are long overdue for a dusting down.

Floorshow should be compulsory.

Did they make setlist based upon the songs the new guitarists knew beforehand, you mean? Besides, I imagine it'd take about three minutes for a decent guitarist to learn "Good Things", for instance.

We need a gig where they play everything they've not played before.

Home Of The Hit-Men, Phantom, Afterhours (full version, not as an intro), Poison Door, Bury Me Deep, Black Planet, Torch, 1959, Driven Like The Snow, Sandstorm/Untitled, You Could Be The One.

And maybe Driver as well.

With a cover of Wasteland for good measure? ;)

i'll agree that You Could Be the One would make one hell of an encore.

Actually I also agree that You Could Be The One should be honored with a live outing. I think it's one of the best songs from the Vision Thing era.

I don't know why you are moaning really - the setlists between 1996 and 2000 were largely static apart from the occasional new song. At least in the past few years they have brought back/premiered I Was Wrong, Neverland, When You Don't See Me, Doctor Jeep, Lucretia, Flood I etc.

I agree that they should play a wider variety of songs (FALAA is quite neglected these days, as are Body Electric, Body & Soul, and More), but the current choice of material pleases me no end.

I'd quite like to see WEA do a b-sides comp of the 84-93 era material and a hits/live1985 DVD - money for old rope in my book. I can think of at least 15 songs that could fit on there, including Torch/Colours, which should be shunted off "Floodland" by now.

A b-sides compilaton and a load of live material has already been released. :innocent: ;)

When I'm awake enough to work out where it's due, credit will be given.

well, they're actually playing stuff thats new to the US audience,
so i dont see an issue with things being like that there.
however, I agree that it would be nice to get some funnies
crop up in Europe:
a new cover, nasty version of sister ray, marian, floorshow,
body electric. something off the wall.
like opening with black planet! ;D and finishing with dolly parton!

My first post here! So far the set lists have been okay with me, but some stuff I would love to see live:

Body & Soul
Valentine
Nine While Nine
Afterhours
Train
Body Electric
Kiss the Carpet

All in all the set list is still good and I am very excited for the Seattle show!
