You must give a man his due : Leonard Cohen is a first class lyricist. And a great person too.

It's just a shame that some of his more recent (80s) stuff sucks musicwise. Far too much shiny production, slimy synths and embarassing background vocals.

In the case at hand, the fact that you can read Teachers on so many levels doesn't make things any easier. Try to understand 's lyrics, then try to understand how He understands Cohen's lyrics.

Then get something for that terrible headache you've just got yourself.

You guys know that Cohen also has a song called Suzanne (this one with a "z") ?

Not a coincidence by any means. He also has a song called "Sisters Of Mercy", and is referred to many times on the Sisters' website.

I didn't mention it because I thought it was common knowledge, but of course...
