Just got an email from HoB, this show is on their 2-for-Tuesday promotion. IE - all shows not meeting ticket quotas are buy one get one free every Tuesday. An indication how well the tour is going/not going. Last week they offered the 2-for-1 for the Anaheim show.

This is not indicative of how a tour is going.
The House of Blues uses a different revenue structure than traditional venues. They own the bar sales.
Thus, the house is papered. Capacities are allegedly oft booked in excess of fire code. The artist is left with a share of the door or guarantee + merch.
This is why you see a higher ticket price at these dates on the tour.
This is why these are the dates that you may want to feel a bit more compelled to buy a shirt or two.
This is also why the venue wiill appear packed once the fog rolls in.
The House of Blues is looking for pure attendance numbers with these offerings and does not have to deal with a promoter to issue them.
There will be a crowd there.
The House will make their money.

You know, the funny thing is... I'm about 7 miles from the HoB. But I won't be attending. Why? Well, I saw the F#$*ng ROLLING STONES for
$45. And they had a 50-ft inflatable undulating woman. And were promoting a new album. So, if I'm gonna pay
$50 to see
, he damn well better be promoting a new album and/or have a 50-ft inflatable undulating woman on stage. No new album, no 50-ft inflatable undulating woman? No paying good, hard-earned $$. I work for a living.

A short review from my friend Scott who was at yesterday show:
"Last night's show in Hollywood was simply f**king amazing! Packed to the rim and Andrew sounded awesome and the new tunes sound like a mix of Floodland and Vision Thing styles!
Can't wait for the Wednesday SF show!"

I'm starting to get a bit confused here - when were I was wrong and War on drugs played for the first time then?
At least I am now counting to 29 songs in the "total" setlist for this tour.

so do touring bands. hard. and $50 is about £28 -in itself only £8 ($14) more than the tickets are here- so at 2 for one they're a bargain.
rolling stones? this is the sisters ffs...

By Europe they'll be playing only mid-80s Madonna covers.
