is there a new policy, or are they just enforcing it more strictly?

they are enforcing it way more strictly...
if you check for sisters material you'll find almost exclusively official material

That's boring. There'll be about one page of results for "sisters of mercy". And half of that will be Thompson Twins singles.

I demand my bootlegs.

One of the reasons for ebay cracking down on bootlegs is that people have been downloading live Torrents, burning them to CD-R and trying to sell them. (And not just Sisters stuff)

To be fair to ebay, if the record industry is giving them a hard time, it's probably not worth the hassle.

if you resubmit them without the word 'bootleg' in the advert they should stay up. I sold some of my silver cds and LP's like this and got them flagged - they search adverts for certain words - don't use these words and you won't get picked on.

i'll give it a shot...
i was thinking the same thing, since i have put 1 of em up, it sold immediately, and they didn't say a word in 3 days.. so might just be that...

@ markfiend: won't be this, since I clearly stated it were vinyls...

Yes I know. But I think the people selling CD-R boots from downloads are why ebay are cracking down on all bootlegs, including vinyl. They're spoiling it for everyone else :|

Aren't they just cracking down abit more systematically on ALL unofficial items, be they 80s vinyl, factory pressed cds OR more recent home-burnt jobs?

WEA/East West seem to be pretty unphased by it all, but Elektra on the other hand won't tolerate any boots of their artists - they are the US distributers of The Cure, and how many of their boots do you ever see on ebay?

And of course, remember kids: by buying bootlegs you are funding terrorism, bwahahahahaha.........
