I have my tickets - they arrived by Motoboy on Monday, and we are ready to walk on the wire one more time. How lucky is it, that in my last month in Brazil the Sisters Tune in Turn up and Burn out in the acid and pollution that is this concrete hell. Haven't decided whether to go to Rio yet, but it could be on the cards.

Anyone want to meet up for a few drinks in Vila Olimpia beforehand?

Hi, all of you Sisters fans!

Glad to have TSOM here, in Sao Paulo!!
Glad to have some international fans also!! Be welcome!

The current problems are between gangs (thieves, drug traffic etc.) and the police, NO civilians were involved in the recently problems.

Sao Paulo is a city that starts the night around midnight, meantime at the end of the concert, at Vila Olimpia, there are many Bars and Night Clubs, and the best: no time to close, just a walk around some blocks from the concert hall and all kinds of entertainment are offered.

Keep on rocking!

Guilhas

That's what I was wondering. At the time of the riots in France in late '05, judging from foreign medias you had the feeling that the whole country was in a state of complete chaos. That wasn't exactly so, at least not much more than it usually is. There were serious problems in the suburbs. It doesn't make it less serious indeed, but it's not the same as civil war.
The thing is what the medias are after is blood, not the truth.
Good to know the Brazilian branch of HL is alright. 8)

The little I can make out of the meaning of the text makes me even more curious.
For those with lots of patience and fantasy, until we get a real translation...

Babelfish says:
The vocalista also denied that turnê in commemoration to the 25 years of the band it will leave a COMPACT DISC to living creature or DVD, but said that it is well capable that in briefing a new record it Sisters, only with unknown and total independent, arrives at the market.

Babelfish continues further down:
To the being inquired on the problems that the group had with its old recorder, the East West, and what group was necessary to come back it to work with a major, Eldritch said that it would be necessary to find a recorder who was so ambitious how much the band and cited Warner recorder, who paid for the bands 1 dollar for music, but that it wants to pay only 1 cent for the Sisters. Eldritch complemented saying that some bands topam to work of this form only for looking for to be famous and that the Sisters, in the period of training where is, does not need this more. Still in the subject, Eldritch, to the asked being if the future of the new bands is to work of independent form, only signing contracts of distribution with majors, says simply that yes, that it is the best way for the bands, but that unhappyly the media seems to give little attention to the bands who are is of majors. For Chris May, guitarist of the new formation, majors soon will lose the great bands who will go to prefer to work of this form

Well, I know Chris is about 6 ft, so nurse is about 5´2". That is not tall, but not a dwarf, I´d say. I know shorter men.
