It's impossible to hear anything apart from "Still... in......"

maybe: still - it makes you cry
or: still - in haste you cry
or "cry" can be "hide" ??

Still, in a big sedan
Someone said it was about a black one, in the Nottingham thread, right

Still, it makes you happy,
Still, it makes you laugh,
Still, it makes you happy,
Still
Hardly the height of his lyrical achievement, but it'll no doubt become more interesting when given context. If I wasn't mixing a recording from tonight's practice I'd be ripping the mp3 to shreds in audacity trying to decipher it

Opening lines to first 'chorus':
"Still ...
If I understood nothing ...
Still ...
You can 'reach/teach' (?) me round (?)"
Second time ...
"Still ...
You can reach me 'live' (?)"
God forbid he's written a song acknowledging the 'fans'?
Just mein two euros.

Work on those two Mikey Boy and I'm sure you'll make sense of it all.

Just a thought...
When I wrote a song called still (I've yet to get over that
) it was referring to the German definition - silent. I know Von's done the bilingual pun thing before, so you never know...

Still hasn't got a thing to do with silent in English then?
Wasn't even aware of that before, thought it shared the two meanings
Wouldn't be surprised at all if
connected those though...

Still means calm in English, but more in reference to movement than sound. S'pose it could be used for silent, but it would sound a bit clumsy. Anyways, in the context used here it means something closer to "Anyway".

Makes you happy/makes you glad for me. I like the bilingual pun idea - "I'll be quiet if it'll stop your moaning" or something like that is my interpretation, digging for a bit of subtext and being aware that one should never take Von's lyrics at face value.

it's clearly
'still, if it makes you happy'
'then it makes me glad'
it's only two days old, and the lyrics even younger, so not too bad an effort
it's about writing a song to keep the moaners happy

Paint it Black is correct, I think.
I had a great laugh while listening to the song. The music isn’t very good, and it sounds like something Von just knocked together to keep moaning fans happy, which he admits in the song with venom.
Actually, after listening to the song I hope Von doesn’t put out any more new material. I think he put it aptly back in 1987 with the lyrics to This Corrosion: “I got nothing to say I ain’t said before

How come that when people are unhappy with the Girls they often wish they just stopped releasing new material and/or vanished ? How about those who honestly appreciate the new songs and want the Sissies to keep on rolling ?
Nothing personal,
Nick : I've heard it before, and I'll probably hear it again.
What I'd like to know is if
you really don't like the new stuff, then why don't
you just go away ? Why would
they have to stop ?

I normally do just keep my mouth shut and not pay attention to material I don’t like, but, this is a discussion forum, and as a member of this discussion forum I think I am aloud to state my opinions and views just as you are aloud to state yours.
I don’t mind if The Sisters release new material, I know I'll even buy it if they do but currently I couldn’t care less if they did or not. I’m a huge fan of what TSOM did, but I personally think Von ran out of things to say a long, long time ago. He even admits it himself in the lyrics I posted from This Corrosion. In fact, Floodland is basically a better version of FALAA, released to better the name of TSOM which had been tarnished by The Sisterhood and The Missions tiff.
I personally think TSOM were a brilliant band who lost it with Vision Thing (which in my opinion only has one great song, two songs I like, and a bunch of filler), now Von has the greatest TSOM tribute band that‘s written some nice tunes of their own - Susanne, Summer, Crash & Burn(the rest is ok to listen to now and then, but nothing special). Just my opinion, but once again I should be aloud to state it.

No problem. That
was an honest question.
I got the impression that somehow you'd feel better if they stopped releasing new material and I'm not sure it makes much sense. We can talk it out without anybody, you or me, getting mad.

i'm just gonna point out the obvious and say that don't you think you are reading the lyrics as a novel and a particularly prosaic one, instead of as a poem which it undeniably is?
It's kind of like demanding objective accuracy from the heart of a sentient being, which are quite alien to one another.
i know _exactly_ what he means with the line you quoted (the whole point is actually: "i've got nothing to say i ain't said before / i've bled all i can i won't bleed no more"), and it has nothing to do with the spirit you try to immerse it with.

I'm with
PIB and
Nick on this one.

still play live/write songs, if it makes you happy" ... ain't that sweet
