Vision Thing - demos and remixes

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Have any demos from the 'Vision Thing' sessions ever emerged?
Just heard the 'More' Groove Mix; is it legit? If so when/where was it released?

Most of the LP was the demos!!!
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Yeah, but there's bound to be outtakes and alternate versions. How long did it take to record the album again?

Quite a while: rumour has it that Von deliberately extended the time to make it so that they'd have less time to rehearse.

Then he went and scrapped a lot of the recordings and used the demos instead.

I'd say most of the alternate versions are more pristine recordings of maybe Doctor Jeep, Detonation Boulevard, VT and WYDSM (we may have that version on the single mix). The others sound to me less demo-ey.
