The catalog of records is deep so could anyone recommend
one or two for me to sink my ears into???

Keep in mind I'm also a
Dead Can Dance fan!

Your impute is greatly appreciated.
It will either be applauded or ignored.

I like a bit of Attrition myself... but it kind of depends which era you've been getting into - their more electronic/rock oriented stuff or their more ambient stuff. I'm a fan of the former (At The Fiftieth Gate, 3 Arms And A Dead Cert, A Tricky Business etc.). If that's your thing then I'd first point you to the Sisters and related acts if you didn't already like them! Martin Bowes has a definite vocal similarity to Von at times.
Aside from that the main recommendation I'd make would be Clan Of Xymox.

If it's the "quiet" stuff you prefer, then I'd say, besides Dead Can Dance, other 4AD acts like This Mortal Coil, Cocteau Twins etc, maybe Qntal and Helium Vola.
Attrition are (or at least were) signed to Projekt records, I'm not as much of a fan of their output as I was several years ago, but there are a few quite similar (in various ways) artists on their roster.

Thank you for your input. :notworthy:
The thing I enjoyed most about the cut I heard was the classical mix
into the overall sound.

Particularly the use of strings, violin and use
of the female vocals. So I was fishing for the cd's that would
encompass the most use of his style.

I will look into your other suggestions. :D
And long Live The Sisters... :von:
