I haven't read the book but I am going to see the film tomorrow and am very much looking forward to it

I enjoyed the book - not the best written piece of work, but fast paced and exciting. The film also looks good - a trip beckons for me and Mrs Streamline sometime soon.
Apparently the film is very faithful to the book. Which is always nice.

Cannes panned the film, whilst the Daily Star (oh, the shame) said the critics only hate it because it's aimed at the punters - their words, not mine.
The Code was OK, but to me - a hardened espionage reader - it was a rambling, somewhat emotional drama that kind of mired itself in it's attempts to be complex. Five out of Ten.

The film was booed at Cannes. And people laughed during a bit that was intended to be poignant and touching.

The book was a good read and as long as you leave your brain in neutral quite believeable. Shame that the authors or 'Holy Blood, Holy Grail' didn't get a writing credit though
but that's a failed court case for you

I thought the book sucked, so I'm not bothering to go see the movie. The only time I'll probably watch it is if it's shown on terrestrial television and I've got nothing better to do.

I've borrowed the book off my old man but haven't started it yet (on a rather long coach trip to Cardiff tomorrow so I'll start then I think). He says the book is superb. My folks have gone to watch the movie tonight too. Reviews I've read have slated it a little though...

There is only one good reason to watch this film and it ain't Tom Wanks.

I really liked the book, but everyone says the movie is s**t.
Maybe I rent it later on, when it comes as a DVD.
