I got some "original single versions" of songs from the sistersrarities groups and some songs (incl. body electric, gimme shelter) sound different on SGWBM to the original vinyl versions.

So did the band re-record the songs in the mid 80's or did Eldritch just remix the songs for the compilation?

I personally feel both original versions of Body Electric and Gimme Shelter are far better than the SGWBM versions.

SGWBM is the same recording as the singles. I can even hear a slight crackle in the first second of Body Electric, probably from the acetate or something.

The 1984 remake of Body Electric is much better than the original.

Don't forget the slight edits for length. That CD is maxed out (for the time it was produced). Several of the songs are truncated compared to the vinyl. Listen to Alice, and you'll have that same slight jump that's on the EP.
