I have asked this question before

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

But snot, are you born with a lifelong quota, or does each cold produce it's own?

If it's the former, then I'm positive that after this doozy of a cold, I'll have used up my life's supply. If the latter, BAH!

If you were never to blow your nose when 'in cold', would your head expand and your eyeballs pop out of their sockets? Would drilling a hole into my sinus' make me feel better (they do it to horses) and if so, pass me a heated up paperclip....

I know it's only a bloody cold but this is a real corker, so bad I even had to say I couldn't go pony patting

Still, I've bought a remote control Dalek, a new mattress, seasons 1 & 2 of King of the Hill, Kate Bush's auto(?) biography, and several new cd's.

I'm rubbish when I've got a cold.

I don't know, Ness. Is it possible to buy an element with certain radiation that unswells lymph nodes, and kills bacteria that enjoy the accomodation of my throat?

This probably doesn't help, but according to "Max and Paddy", blokes (albeit of a different substance, produced about halfway down the body) "only get a bucket and a half".
