In response to a comment from Badlander, and to give HLanders the chance to slate a few groups that do not come up to scratch, if the Sisters were to play in the old jardim do casa, and sent some substitutes instead, who would you shut the curtains on?
I would certainly be drawing down the blinds on
Rosetta Stone.
Alien Sex Fiend
Guns N Roses
The Levellers
And, sadly, these days
The Damned, Hawkwind and Metallica.
Anyone else?

Pretty much any of the droney/atmospheric/"serious" goth crew who take one aspect of the Sissie's sound (that was only ever really present in a small number of songs in 84/85 ish) and overdose on it.

It will be even more fun if you tell us :
a- Why you hate them so much.
b- What you'll do to them if they show up.
Be creative. Be nasty. If they're so bad they deserve it.

God I hate loads of bands but that Fall Out Boy, they're a load of tripe. I'd be quick to show them the door.

Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday, Aiden, Avenged Sevenfold, Trivium...
Pretty much any of the watered down "Metal" or "Emo" crap.

Yeah you're right.
And I can't believe I'm gonna have to watch Trivium supporting Maiden in September
Hmm, maybe only being able to get seating tickets was a good thing, at least it means we can skip Trivium

Sticking to bands I've actually seen...
Trivium last year at Donington. Yawn-fest...
Pulp (on the same bill as Siouxsie oddly enough at Leeds Festy many moons ago) were sh!te. As is probably to be expected. Sleeper (remember them? ) were also on the same bill and played a song they'd already played once as their "encore".
Coal Chamber at Milton Keynes Bowl a while back. I'd heard great things about them. What a disappointment.
Eminem (Reading a few years back) extreme tedium, plus nearly getting into a fight with some meat-head crap fans.

Blur, 95, was just awful. They were on stage before The Cure at a festival in France. The show caused quite a riot, which wasn't much of a concern since rioters were mere little girls.
Foo Fighters, 96, were pretty bad too, desperately trying to recreate the "magic" of Nirvana. Another case of teenage riot. They were on stage before David Bowie.
The Jesus Lizard, 97, were quite pathetic. All singer David Yow was actually able to do was burp. They were on stage
after Heather Nova and I was curious.
I then more or less stopped going to festivals.
Marduk, 98, was very painful but at least they helped me realize that black metal wasn't really my thing.
The Dandy Warhols opening for David Bowie, 03, were a huge disapointment. Never let that singer play with percussions, especially when he's stoned (that means most of the time).
