Is Goth Really So Bad?

Is it really? For example, if you had to choose to spend the day with one of these people, who would you choose?

Goth?

or Non Goth?

Don't be silly. A goth must sit in the corner and mope about their solitary state!

Or is that emo this week? I forget :innocent:

Dunno. I'm a goth, but I'd drag them indoors to listen to Japan or Manowar.

What I find most annoying is the way they talk...

Goths have to speak a certain way in order to be fit in.
Goth is possibly the only clique to be able to produce
TL;DR responses to verbal speech.

Basically This cheeseburger is f**king tasty.

Translates to
O how I loath thee, fatty demon of cheese and quarted cow.
And yet you fill me with such blissful, passionate glee.

Quote from The Sun 8/6/06

"DEVIL OF A BRAWL AT MOVIE
A screening of horror movie flick The Omen ended in a mass punch up...cops were called to Cineworld in Wednesfield,West midlands to break up trouble....Police refused to confirm some of those involved were "Goths" who dress all in black."

And you can't argue with The Sun.Goths are people who dress in black and may or may not start fights at s**t remakes of classic films.

is this question really so interesting that we have to keep revisiting it?

It's about the person, not the label.

If you're so shallow as to judge who you'd spend a day with by a single picture or misplaced fashion statement, then you need to reevaluate life. That or get a decent haircut so as to attract other people of the same inclination :|

I don’t hate Goths, I hate groups in general - this is not to say I hate the individuals of the group, just what the group represents as a whole; I don’t think I’m explaining myself very well . . . . Anyways, I’ve never belonged to a group and there always seems to be something sinister about them all, like their conspiring behind mine and everyone else’s back to make them like them or annihilate them. But I just think that cause I’m a paranoid loon whose read the chapter “Islam Incorporated and the Parties of Interzone from the book Naked Lunch and listened to Throbbing Gristle one too many times. :urff:

I was half thinking of posting a "What's the most goth single you've got?", but the recent influx of goth threads means it will just have to wait.
