New Songs, aquiring thereof

Hi,

I'm new to heartland, I've been reading for a while now but I have finally been pressed into creating an account.

If the answer to my particular question can be found anywhere else please point me in the right direction.

I would like to find good quality mp3 recordings of any/all of the new songs (except we are the s...). I havn't heard any of them yet (except possibley live, I don't remember the new ones they played) and I'd like to put togther a sort of compendium of new songs to listen to. I'm sure there are things on youtube etc, but you can't really hear whats going on due to the poor quality!

Any help would be appriciated.

Danke

have a peek in the "sharing" section if you have a fast web connection ;)

or if not, have a look in the "weeding" bit...

others will be able to point you in the general directions of which gigs contain good versions of various tracks, but i'd recommend the brussels 2006 (day 2) recording as a good starting point...

oh, and welcome to HL 8)

Tis indeed from Violator... I don't think its ripped off, its just a simple picture of a rose that (for me at least) has become iconic.

It was a VERY good album.

Aye, welcome aboard.

The "Some Songs Still Wander By Mistake" collection is still available, and it's a good way of getting them all together in a single download, as well as a few choice covers and alternative versions (no Blood Money though, boooo!)

http://myheartland.co.uk/viewtopic.php? ... sc&start=0

From there, you can pick and choose from the other recordings.

But do beware, it can get seriously addictive.

does that come as seperate tracks or wil I have to split them up myself from one big audio file?

Seperate tracks cos it's from various sources. Quality is pretty good on most of them, but much much better versions have become available since (Brussels, for inst.) To be honest, pretty much any recording from 2003 onwards will easily net ya 90% of the new ones.

Can you link me to the brussels one please?

Ah, found it...Dimadozen doesn't seem to want new members right now...if any one can weed it to me or send the new songs from the brussels concert as email attachments let me know.

Cheers

I've - um - mislaid my Brussels (converted to MP3 for my walkman and deleted the originals, actually  )

If I remember - and no-one else steps in between now and then - I'll kick off another download from DaD tomorrow morn and do the necessary.

Will let you know.

Well, the bad news. After almost 11 hours of downloading, it was still at 0%. That's the prob (well, one of them at least) with DimeaDozen for ya!

As Mr Green (the original distributor of this gig) has requested that it not be converted to lossy format, and I intend to honour that request, can somebody else help out here please?

Then the same question above applies for Maisey...
Except by the above post I would say Maisey worked it out.... :D

oo yeah, :D I aslo got hold of the SSV recording. Not so much actual music as an oppertunity to have a cool and rediculasly long band name on my artist list.

They were definatley dribble but kinda cool in there own primitive way.

New songs are ok (apart from suzanne which I love) I think they would sound a lot better properly recorded and produced and mixed and put on some kind of removable media storage disk..anyone care to disagree?

Oh and just so you don't have to keep typing my name out I will make myself a bit more gender specific. Its Robert Maisey, but Maisey is always fine. I have on countless occansions been confused for a female in many humours and soul crushing incidents, but I am a he. Hope that helps!
