I was trying to access the Gigography earlier and it wasn't loading at all. So I thought he was updating that with the Silver Bullet dates... it seems he did not.

but they're the same site 
they appear to be hosted on the same box, so unless the dns servers and routing are different for each address, there should be difference in speed
however....
i ping'ed each one twice:

definitely slower

DNS lookups could be marginally slower for the hyphens??? Not in your local cache or something like that, perhaps.
