The ignorance of Lovelock..

Hey, have you ever come across a 'celebrity' and come away thinking, 'jesus, that person's a real tool in real life' No ? You will if you meet Hussey ( only joking Wayne - but you did have your moments) Like this one back in 1983.
Around the time the Sisters played the Liverpool Warehouse, Mr Jeremy Wayne Lovelock (ne: Hussey) used to hang around the DJ box, trying his hardest to be part of the in-crowd. Well, in away he was, what with Pauline Murray and the Invisable Girls and being in Dead or Alive. Liverpool had quite a music scene going back then; I think even I was a popstar for a while in my mind (Well me mum said I was star at least- Or was that a miserable little b'stard?) I can never quite remember, anyway;
My mate walked up to him and asked him to play a song by the Sisters of Mercy, Hussey looked blankly at him and then declined, 'cos he'd never heard of them; a couple of months later, he indeed joined the Sisters of Mercy.
Just thought I'd share that with you all. Sometimes our lovely popstars aren't really as clued in as they wish you to think they are.
