I have a external usb sound card that I would like to leave permanently connected to my Hi-Fi but my PC is in a different room (although close). Is there anyway I can connect them wirelessly.Mr Blast suggested Airport but is does more than I need and is a bit expensive.
I have no way of hiding a cable between the 2 rooms.
Thanks
Pat

We're talking about Wireless USB here. Don;t know of any products, but this might be a good starting point:

I've always used Linksys gear in the past but that's PC based setups. Other common manufacturer's you could try are D-Link, Netgear, Belkin but not sure what they have mac-wise.

Unless I'm missing something can't you just put a usb wireless adaptor on to the card?

Thanks for your replies.
@Ruffers the only wireless usb adaptors I can find are for connecting to the internet via a wireless router.
You'd think there would be something nice and simple.1 bit of kit goes into the pc and 1 bit of kit goes into the card/printer/usb thingy.

Experts will probably be along later...
My understanding is that regardless of internet connection you will need to create a wireless network. You'll need a router, (I think), a connection to the router from the pc to control it which will be probably but necessarily be wireless, and a wireless adapter for whatever device you want on the network, in this case the sound card but could be a printer or whatver.
Router less than 50 quid, wireless adapter 15 quid, length of ethernet cable to connect computer to router free from work
I don't know if Bluetooth would be an option or not as an alternative.
