I`m just going through some of my really old cassettes from the 80s & I`ve found a few Sisters things so far including this one .
It is called victims of circumstance but it is not the ep others have talked about . I expect most will have it with a different name , this is the tracklist .

ghostrider/sister ray live
marian orig demo sung by gary marx to the tune of 1st last & always
dance on glass sung by hussey to the tune of black planet
rock & a hard place disco mix
garden of delight early demo - hussey singing
garden of delight early demo - eldritch singing
knocking on heavens door demo
serpents kiss early instrumental
emma demo
jessicas crime (salvation) demo
afterhours remix
jolene
knocking on heavens door - skeletal family live with Eldritch singing (with a drummer - wow)
rock & a hard place demo
temple of love live
some kind of stranger live
no time to cry demo

Its all from sisters days before the 1st split . I`m just about to transfer it to cd , I just wondered if it had been put out as something else ?

I used to have a big SOM collection until around 89 when I sold some stuff & some more went when I got burgled . I still have a few things , I`ll have to see what I come accross .
I appologize if you`ve heard it all before and I`m boring you

Ah yes, the victims of circumstance tape. The story goes that Gary Marx made a copy of the songs for a friend, who then copied it for others..etc.. The tape suffers from fading in parts, and so does other copies I've heard. A shame Marx didn't clean his tape heads before copying it. I have some additional information for some of the songs.

heartland volume 4 has a good write up if anyone has chance to get hold of a copy.

In summary it says that the tape was requested by WEA as they wanted official versions of the live covers
This is backed up by the fact that allegedly it appeared before TSOM were even playing knockin' live

BTW- my tape, which has the same artwork as the HL scan doesn't have Jolene listed on it at all.

BTW2 - I'm sure you all know Von's cousin was in Salvation, it was he who asked for Jessica's Crime to get the professional touch :von:

Neither does mine, but if you play the tape it's there.

I suppose things get mis quoted / written through time - someone might have even said it but I have to tell you that allthough Danny is the connection to the Sisters he isn`t actualy Eldritchs` cousin .

Early on , Danny was a roadie for the Sisters . They became best friends and ended up sharing the same house together along with Andrews then girlfriend Claire . ( beechwood terrace)
Andrew & Claire were together for a few years . Claire is a sound engineer & did the sound on practically all of Salvations dates . She is now with another Andy (who at one time was in Salvation ) & he had the La Costa Rasa album out on merciful release in 94.
Confusing eh !
Salvation did the Girlsoul single on MR & also recorded Clash of dreams - the album that never came out . As you know Hussey did the Jessicas crime single & then the band went off more on their own . They did support the m*****n along with many others from time to time .

The reason I know is that Danny is a good friend of mine . I saw SOM a bit back then & then became friends with Danny & started following Salvation . I went on to do the merchandise & then roadie for them . I also stayed at the house on occasion - I must admit that I couldn`t help myself from trying to play Eldritchs` guitar & breaking a string ( I can`t play & he wasn`t there !) . I also sat on his hat by mistake ;D
Danny now works in the centre of Leeds & as for the rest of the band one is a dj , one is behind the Cockpit in Leeds & George the last drummer they had is still drumming . Richard the manager now works at the city hall in Sheffield .
Thet are about the only band from that era that almost certainly won`t get back together as they have all moved on too much .
It would be great to do the odd gig but I don`t think anyone could handle too much these days - everyones got a little bit too old now

So there you go - I appologize if I sound like I`m spouting off - it`s late , my womans in bed & I`ve no one to talk to & it`s a while since i`ve waffled on about "the good ol` days "

I`m slowly trying to get some of my old stuff from tape to cd - if anyone is interested let me know & I`ll tell you when I have done some .

Around the time the This Corrosion video was released there was a rumour going round that Danny Salvation was in the video somewhere. I never managed to spot him though.

You are quite right - Danny is in the video for about a second . If you watch really carefully you can spot him climbing out of a dustbin !!!!!!
He said it was a full days filming & it was a real laugh .
