Had a phone call out of the blue yesterday from A Famous Band, wanting to know if I was interested in helping them with a Mysterious New Project. Since I am a huge fan of their work, I said HELL YES. Work is scheduled to start in mid-September, more details then perhaps...

What band is this Famous Band then?
Cassandra Complex? Wait, they are not famous!?
Only famous band I know of is the Sisters of Mercy. So you are going to work with them? Mid-september? So the new album will be out in December? Please, give us answers.

I thought it might have been Rodney Marsh. Shame.
What substance does this have? Why do you think it refers to the girls?

It has none whatsoever but Rodney has worked with the Sisters before

No idea, but he's worked with the Sisters before, as stated above, which makes it at least passingly significant.

Never in the history of human endeavour have so many clutched at so few straws!
But it helps to brighten up an otherwise dreary day.

What, exactly, did he do? Help Eldritch remix Die Krupps?

yes - and he did some work for the live-shows in 1996/1997 IIRC

what kind of work?
is it related to another question, a question which I have wanted to ask long time ago: is Simon D the first person called Nurse?
and the third question: wasn't it Rodney Orpheus in one Under The Gun TV-performance?

and (quite off-topic, sorry) comment about that Fatherland remix: last year I asked from Die Krupps frontman Jürgen Engler whose idea was that mix by Eldritch and he said that it wasn't neither band's nor Eldritch' idea - it was organized by the record company. but in general, he (Engler) and Eldritch know each other well and once, when someone had asked if Eldritch would want to collaborate again with Engler, he (AE) answered: "yes, I'd like to play together in a musical with him and Jürgen could play Mary Poppins". (for those who don't know - that Jürgen is a very tall guy.)
sorry again - that wasn't related very much to Rodney Orpheus...
Edit: as we know, Eldritch has remixed 2 Krupps' songs - 'Fatherland' together with Rodney Orpheus and 'Odyssey Of The Mind' just by himself. I hope I can trust my memory and my question was about both remixes... sorry again about off-topic comments - but I'm a perfectionist in some things...

on his livejournal he denies lots of bands but avoids comfirming or denying the sisters
''Cabaret Voltaire or Pet Shop Boys?''
''You girls know me too well... Neither as it happens this time, though oddly enough there has been some talk of me doing work with the Cabs recently...''
''The mighty Sisters by any chance?''

"
