Is it possible to download videos from Youtube? A week ago I found this (a moment of nostalgia - haven't
seen LN after 88 ):

Oh no, I've done it before, it's very safe. It's just that you're not supposed to be able to download from youtube. That's why you need that kind of rip device. You may also need VLC media player to read the files.

usually i send message to he/she via youtubes (you have to open an account) and i ask if i can get the video via email.
If they are nice, they will send it to you and you might get better quality,
you can also read it with any media player

If you use the Internet Explorer you can collect the videos from some temp folder, you only have to rename them to a .flv extension, and get a player that will play that. I used to have VLC Lan player for that, I was told that the Media Player Classic would make that, too.
If you use Firefox,
this one will be helpfull..

i´ve got Tampa dvd and the quality is quite bad, in my opinion it was taken from Miami 91 dvd!!!

Has this surfaced yet? It's a cracking insight, obviously you can't hear much, but what you can is enlightening. Not new information mind, but interesting nontheless.

On the downloading, you can download with Firefox but you'll need an FLV player to actually watch them afterwards. There are also lots of free tools available to convert them to MPEG formats (some of which even come with source code!!!) I haven't tried this in anger yet, so I can't vouch for the quality of the conversion.
