http://gvelay.free.fr/gta/ has some Sisters tabs if that helps. For scales, there's
http://www.guitarists.net/scales/index.php . And that's the sum total of my online bass knowledge

I learned to play the bass by guessing.
Same way I learned guitar.
It's easier since my bass is lacking a string.

Good luck Keith, looking forward to your recording.

My advice, use a pick it gives a great punchy sound.
Bass: Gibson Grabber if you can find one.
And above all learn to hammer the s**t out of the bass.
I remember many moons ago watching another band rehearse.
They took a break and a friend of ours announced to the them that we had another group of musicians in the house.
They invited us up to play a tune or two. After trying my best to get the bass strap to sit low (silly FUD had the thing pulled up so high I thought he was playing a violin). We barely made it through one song when the bass player ran up to me white as a ghost shouting "your going to break my bass beating on it like that!"
Good times, good times.

Was he in Modern Talking or 5ive or something?
Sounds like a real FUD to me!
A guitar is a sword...
A bass is a two-handed WAR AXE!!!

Are you sure they were interviewing you for your skill on bass?

Personally I would p*ss myself laughing if a band walked onstage with a bass player 'slinging' that one.
They would then have a lot of ground to make up.

Try some Joy Division to start with - a lot of them are one string jobs.

Tabs are easy.
Each line represents a string, but - get this - they're upside down from what you'd think. Anyway, the little numbers are which fret to use, with 0 being no fret.
Which fingers to use are up to you, just fall into whatever feels most comfortable and don't worry about whether it's the "right" way.
Then start slowly and don't be too ambitious about it. The first coupla times you might sound like an elephant farting, but keep at it and you'll get better.
Getting both hands working at the same time, and keeping a good rhythm going (ooooerrrr missues) could be very hard at first, so slow right down, concentrate on getting the notes right, and work at it at your own pace.
If you hit a wall with something, back off. Find something different. There's no point in frustrating yourself when you're only starting out.
