The only non-Sisters one I went to this year was Bauhaus, which was great stuff. However, HMHB, Placebo and The Blockheads are coming up soon, so I might change my mind as to the best ;)

Edit: I guess The Wonder Stuff get an honourable mention, but The Matthew Street festival doesn't exactly have a wonderful 'gig' atmosphere.

Hmm...
If we can include festivals, Tallington and Big Session have the lead there.
As for "proper" gigs:
Bleeding Hearts @ Hebden Bridge
DiP @ Holmfirth
NMA @ Holmfirth
Robin Black @ London
The Shmir @ Nottingham
Bleeding Hearts & Lack of Limits @ Birmingham
Bleeding Hearts & Lack of Limits @ Hereford
Ky Anto @ Nottingham

Of course, all this will change on Friday - Bleeding Hearts & NYAAA in Nottingham. Best lineup ever!

Sisters - San Diego, Austin, Hamburg, Leeds, Krakow, Budapest... :notworthy:
I think I forgot something... Helsinki was very nice one as well :D
Depeche Mode in Tallinn and Bratislava wasn't bad...
can't say anything about New Model Army, Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb yet 2006 gigs yet...
now i should edit my post - just noticed the "no sisters ones" comment... but... they were the best for me... otherwise - I have nothing to say yet :|

Seconded! :notworthy:

And then there was that ginger bloke who kept scaring all those poor Eurogoths in Leipzig... and managed to make the Glasgow Sisters gig quite eventful!

Hmm.. I have only seen five concerts this year except for the Sisters.
DM sucked.
Bauhaus was ok.
Morrissey was above all expectations.. so.. I'll go with Morrissey in Karlstad 8 august.

Oh dear, I don't appear to get out much anymore....only other 'gig' I've seen was my fine mates FCDogUK play Matt's wedding, but it WAS a killer gig.

Cult in Leeds to come, hmm, and hopefully The Black Keys at the Cockpit, though apparently they've sold out. Bumcheese. Not overly hopeful of the Cult beating FCDog, although they'd possibly only have to turn up and drop their Gretsch's on Astbury's toes to sound better than Von's lot did. Ouch!

EDIT : Oooh sh1t, sorry boys, make that the Smurphs at WiJ. Groovy. 8)
