I'm English, I hope they do well. Why wouldn't I? Germany or Argentina would be a very different kettle of fish, however..BillyBadBreaks wrote:I don't know many Englishmen who will be enjoying Scotland doing well in their first 2 games, but I am
Likewise - I refuse to join in with the En-er-land Jingoism. I've enough friends north of the boder to wish them well.DeWinter wrote:I'm English, I hope they do well. Why wouldn't I? Most English people revel in the Scots doing badlyDeWinter wrote:I'm English, I hope they do well. Why wouldn't I? And while we're talking about Scottish talent - anybody know much about Boab Malcolm?
The Rams have just signed him - any good?
He joins Mo Camara from Celtic. I hope they behave at the training ground.

I'm guessing this is some sort of sectarian organisation but other than that I am ignorant of them. Care to elaborate Si? (or any other informed individuals)Big Si wrote: He likes to sign autographs with FTP
Up untill recently, I think most English people would have supported a Scottish team in an international competition, even if still making fun of them. I still do, I like the Scots I've met, but I can't rightly blame the English fans who after the last World Cup just think "Screw you, then" where Scotland's concerned.markfiend wrote:I've never really understood why.BillyBadBreaks wrote:Most English people revel in the Scots doing badly
A lot of that was the media, most of Scotland either wished the England team well or simply coudn't give a toss-like meDeWinter wrote:Up untill recently, I think most English people would have supported a Scottish team in an international competition, even if still making fun of them. Oh right! It's pretty hard when you have to rely on the 'net for UK news like me, Helsinki isn't quite cosmopolitan enough to have foreign newspapers freely available. It did seem like any of the contributors to the WC debate on the net were either SNP supporters or readers of the Daily Mail!weebleswobble wrote: A lot of that was the media, most of Scotland either wished the England team well or simply coudn't give a toss-like me
