A couple of nights at thesubculture

this is our saturday night. any of you leeds people who remember and liked how oblivion used to be before the kiddies took over then this is for you. proper alternative like grandma used to make.
also for your delectation we have
Sunday Club - a weekly goth related sunday night - designed to fill the gap in your lives left by
black sheep whilst being slightly different (and not exactly weekly at the mo as we had one night drop out on us at the last minute - damn those industrial punk goth types!)
- this week it's:
resurrected@SundayClub - bouncy 80s goth style stuff - lotsa fun.
- next week it's:
resonance@SundayClub - noise/industrial/idm - probably not your cup of tea? no?
- and then on 2nd sundays of the month we have:
AmphetamineLogic@SundayClub as dj'd by mr quiff boy and phono paul - now you all have no excuse not to come to that one do you - even those of you who live in foreign countries - lancashire for example - should come along.
anyhoo it's 7:30-11:30 and £2 in. eventually there should be the facilities for you to have that nice cup of tea you've been craving.
oh and for those tight people amongst you I should mention that house vodka, gin and rum are 90p a shot AND we have tonic on tap and make a mean bloody mary.

Sounds great!
As one of the owners Sarah (albeit a piddlingly small one) can I sit in the office occationally and instruct bouncers to throw unfortunates down the stairs for not cutting me in?
(Actually I guess it would have to be up the stairs, but cometh the hour cometh the man)

come down on saturday or sunday - I'm sure you can put the kids out for the evening - they won't be much trouble and if you put bells on their collars it'll warn the birds away. oh. hang on. that's cats.

I Forgot to mention - and this bit's important - that it's only a quid in on saturday night to anyone who shows their ticket stub from the cult concert at LUU - wouldn't want you having to pay £4 just cos you'd been busy shaking your thang now would we?!

Shaking our thang or stood by the bar laughing remains to be seen, but regardless, cool offer, we'll (royal 'we') most certainly be coming over afterwards.
It would be rude and inappropriate not too, goth-nonsense or not!

excellent! I can assure you I'm all about the pointing and laughing.
the reason I managed to catch back up with my esteemed old chum carrie (now mrs rhombus guitarist - having forefited all right to her own name) is a certain gig at the uni about 6+ years ago where we just went 'meh. goths...', found our mate mr whizz and his mate mr intoxicating-liquour and yabbered for hours.
surely it's all about hanging around by the bar being witty/cynical - that's why we have so much bar at the new club...

Classic comedy moment.
Baldy stroppy dancer gets shoved by Steve Weebles for once dancefloor collision too many. He swings round, and glares into...Steve's chest. Cue the cliche as his stare suddenly rises higher, and higher, and higher, until he realises he's pissed off a
much larger bloke.

And if he found the crazed look as displayed in Norm's avatar (taken earlier that evening), he'd no doubt have shat himself for a second time in the space of nano-seconds.
