another nail in the coffin

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

it's simply not funny. I think bands should stop doing this. It is crap and crime.

I can imagine Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave or Madonna doing a good tribute.

But not another slimy boring neo-emo-rock-goth crap gang like Kindred Spirits and their friends.

Well that was emotionless crap. And if you don't know the lyrics, don't sing along, never mind record a cover :von:

However, I respect their artistic right to "interpret" the work and I'm sure that someone else might have enjoyed listening to it. It certainly wasn't any of the genres you listed, either...:?

Another object lesson in how NOT to cover a Sisters song. :urff:

lachert, we appreciate your efforts in assisting with the tribute CD quality control ;D :innocent:

Judging from the above comments, sometimes it's a pleasure to be on dial-up.
There is increasing evidence to suggest that Chris may have been being sarcastic.

oh

well i've heard worse sisters covers. preferred the chorus to the verse, but could've done with rockier drums.

i'm gonna get slated for this...

After Hours at 33rpm sounds like a washing machine.
