MP3 cd's without silence between songs

hi guys

need to ask a favour. I'm making once in a while some MP3 compilations with complete records. As you all know  there are these cd's like chemical brothers or pink floyd (the wall) or any live cd where 1 song flows over into the news without stop. If I convert them to MP3 and burn the bloody disc  there's always a second between the songs and i HATE it :urff:

Any ideas how to prevent this. I knw I'm only using NERO ;D but hell there must be a way. NO

Make sure the 'Disc At Once' option is selected (As opposed to 'Track At Once'. This means the laser doesn't stop between tracks whilst burning

Nero allows you to set the gap to 0 and even crossfade between tracks. Takes a bit of practice but it can be done.

Right click on the tracks before burning and select 'properties'. You can change the gap on all but the first track.

It's just the first track you can't do that to, just select all the rest and set those to zero second gaps :)

Took me bloody ages to find that out  (used to switch to express mode just to do that )

I find a crossfade of 5 frames works best. Well it worked well on the live Bunnymen CD I've just burned for Keith

I'm not sure any of that will help if you're making a CD of mp3 files; the gaps are caused by the hardware having to pause between tracks; the only way to do it without gaps would be to convert the whole album into a single mp3...

Rip the CD to wav, join all the wavs together with a sound editing program, convert the resulting wav into a single mp3. 8)

I thought we were talking about creating an audio CD here? Actually having just re-read the original post I'm not sure all of a sudden

Be it MP3s or WAVs, when you decide to burn an AUDIO cd, the latest NERO version(s) will convert the MP3s to WAV anyway. The 2-second gap can be omitted then, just as with WAV files...

Use Nero Express and tick the box that says: "No Pause Between Tracks" :)

Voilà! ;D

(although you might experience the odd click and pop, I fear :|)

In the more recent editions of Nero you can't create a Mixed Audio/Data CD anymore, :(

And I dislike this kind of wizard modes anyway
