This is probably stupid and boring, but things are quiet at the mo, so what the hell!

Just saw this down a local shop:

Signs are everywhere... the Fourth Coming of the Messiah must be imminent.

My second name is 'Alice', my last name is 'Andrew' in French and I own a mug or two.

Coincidence?

I saw this sign the other night. I swear I haven't photoshopped it:

  :notworthy:

So does that mean 'Disabled People who are Holding Badgers', or 'anyone Holding a Disabled Badger'? I can envisage all manner of confusion and resultant parking tickets.

Nice one, Mark :notworthy:

Reminds me of the sign I saw doctored a few years back at a motorway service station approach...

"Tired? Hungry?"
to which some wit had added..
"Need A Poo?"

  Many years of juvenile sniggering about that one!

No Sisters relevence, although I assume they must have been tired and hungry with full tummies at some point.

In the (IMO fantastic) game Final Fantasy VII, the enemy Sephiroth has a mother named Lucretia, and there's a huge cannon called the Sister Ray.

In most Squaresoft games, the main characters all have names that come either from the Bible (Sephiroth), or from other mythologies (Sumerian for instance), or from mere history books. They suffer from a certain lack of imagination IMHO.
Can't explain that Sister Ray thingy tho. It might be a reference to the Velvet.

My mum went to a boarding school run by the (in)famous nuns, the Sisters of Mercy. She even gave me her school blazer badge to sew onto my leather jacket...which I still haven't done after nearly 16 years

It's that same "lack of imagination" that make people love the Nephs and the Sissies so much.. sorry, I meant "imaginative references and quotations"

I'm pretty sure a quote from the game is "It will not be called a Mako cannon, it will be called.. the Sister Ray!"
