Do you have any cool autographs or been touched by someone "famous"?

Touched: David Lynch, Mark Jackson (VNV Nation) he shook my hand through the crowd. And some lame norwegian ppl.

But then again, I dont get out much, hehe. Thats all I can remember right now, but I wanna know who you lot have met. I think this will be interesting.

A member of The Soledad Brothers shoved me out of the way while I was queueing for the bog at Spiritualized a coupla years ago.

I have a very nice signed photo of Kate Bush.
I had CDs signed by Heather Nova.
Never really touched, had lunch with, chatted with, slept with, etc. famous people. Well, maybe famous in my professional field, but not in the real world.

I have been lucky enough to atleast see Heather Nova live, shes good.

Heather's manager's old band was pretty good too.

I have a limited edition live CD signed by their guitarist.

I "touched" quite a few known persons. Although I wouldn't exactly call them celebs...

not so much into collecting autographs though.

She's very charismatic and she looks incredible.
Shame her last albums are a bit dull.

I've got a handwritten lyric sheet by Anne-Marie from Ghost Dance , signed photo' of LOUD, Carol Smilie had her hand on my shoulder only a couple of weeks ago, blagged loads of stuff - food, drink, drugs from Fields of the Nephilim, LOUD, Creaming Jesus, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Salvation, Claytown Troupe.

Shaken hands with Eric Bibb, chatted with Henry Priestman, Gary Christian and RoboChrist and (highlight of them all ) got a hug from Mr Christo

Oh and I once took Skin of Skunk Anansie fame in my arms in a festival ten years ago. She dived into the public and I was in the front row. Actually she more or less jumped on me.

Yeah, even when she was pregnant she looked amazing. And her "dancing" is quite sexy. Yeah, her earlier albums are the best.

Mark Jackson took it upon himself to pick my missus up off the dancefloor, hoist her high above him, then lower her just enough to plant a smacker on her lips. Smug git. Yeah, she hasn't washed since last year.

Bumped into Perry Farrell in Manchester town centre after a gig yoinks ago, he signed our big bootleg Ritual poster, and nattered for ages in his strange cali drawl. Top chap mind.

Saw The Cure in Dusseldorf during the Pornography tour and then became a gopher for seven days (sleeping on Robert's or Tol's floor before they sent me back on the train from Vienna). Got drunk with Bowie in a hotel in Manchester once (a very nice man) and had Eldritch sleep over at mine after a practical joke went wrong. So ja, nothing special.

What a concert, it seems that when ever I go to the 9:30 club a wonderful surprise awaits. Mr. Murphy was brilliant, his voice captivating. I believe he could take any song and bring a depth to it that would amaze. Peter had some equipment problems which prompted him to hand the mic to Kevin. He barely missed a beat breaking into this great poem, one which you can hear him doing a piece of if you have the double CD Tones On Tail, Everything! It's at the end of the 2nd CD during a radio interview, I thought I'd never hear him finish that piece. As much as I enjoyed this interlude, Kevin delivered one more surprise that was very personal. I was at the 9:30 club for the 2nd night of the Resurrection tour at the end of the concert I was lucky enough to receive one of Kevin's signed drum sticks, handed to me from the stage. I was here in April of 99 for the last Love and Rockets tour. I met Kevin outside, asked him to sign my 4th Bubbleman shirt and thanked him for the gift of the drumstick in 98. He smiled and pulled out one he had been using that night, and said now you have one from Love and Rockets. It was also signed and dated, my friend had to pull me away from him or I would have stood their and thanked him all night. What does this all have to do with Mar. 2000. Well, at the end of the concert Kevin came to the front of the stage tossed a stick to my left, threw one to my right. Now I was yelling trying to get his attention just to say hello, he walks right in front of me looks right at me while grabbing my hand and pulls a 2nd set out of his back pocket, and with a smile places them right in my hand. What a rush! These sticks too where signed "to the stick collector" Kevin Haskins Peter Murphy 2000. I thanked him outside later, again the gentleman that he is he would have stood in the cold listening to my excited babble. But thankfully my friend suggested I let Kevin go to the bus to get warm. What a night! Thank you Peter. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Kevin, I can't believe you remembered me. I had people who had seen the gift given to me walk up and ask if I was friends with Kevin:) P.S. Kevin could you and Mr. Ash get Tones on Tail back together again for a tour, Hint! My sister was working at Coventry Polytechnic back in the mid eighties and she got me the signature's of Death Cult ! I was impressed. I was even more impressed when she got me...... Gary Glitter's autograph!! Still got it some where in a box !!

Got Michaels Moore's auto during a book/ speaking tour for Dude Where's my Country? a couple of a years ago.

Oh and I met John Paul Jones (Led Zep) backsatge at a Mishun show, but he's probably forgotten that by now, bless him. Oh and Mick Jones (The Clash) met me once too, nice chap.

Don't know if they count as celebs, but I got autographs and shared a funny-smelling ciggie with the chaps from Hawkwind after a Leeds Uni gig in 92. Tossed a rollie to Bill Hicks while he was on stage at Leeds Poly doing his "I don't smoke anymore" bit, and got "goatboyed".
And I don't suppose anyone will believe me, but I *did* once stand behind Eva at a Sisters gig...

As a long-time science fiction fan I have many many very uncool autographs from various sci-fi TV & film actors etc.

Ones I'm particularly proud of though:

Desmond Llewelyn (Q from the Bond movies - got it about 2 weeks before he died )
John Pertwee
A Star Wars comic signed by Dave (Darth Vader) Prowse and Jeremy (Boba Fett) Bulloch
William Shatner

The mighty Jonah Lomu

Music-wise, best I can manage is a Rainbow LP signed by the reverend Ronnie James Dio

At a Dr and the Medics / Rosetta Stone gig at Rock city back in 91/92 the fella from Dr and the Medics jumped into the crowd, whilst singing about a dying fly, he landed on Mrs Snowey which sent her to the floor with him screaming into the mic "arrrr me balls"

Also the Mrs is well into sci-fi and has meet James Doohan, Walter Koenig, Michelle Nichols from Star Trek, the fella who played C3PO and loads from Babylon 5..... yes she's sad.

Walter Koenig was a bit grumpy...

Probably the nicest bloke I ever met was Andrew Robinson (Garak from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine ... or the Scorpio killer from Dirty Harry, if you're that way inclined! ).

Local (i.e. Scottish) 'celebrities' I've come across in the course of my job include Blythe Duff, Jackie Bird, Kirsty Wark ... and the then Mrs Ally McCoist (I didn't touch any of them, as far as I can recall - no matter how tempted I was).

And I remember Carol Smillie when she was still doing small fry stuff like opening the Port Glasgow Festival...

I had a run-in with Midge Ure a few years ago. We don't speak of it....

Met Peter Davison a few years ago. He's still my least-favorite Doctor. Met Tom Baker too and he was fab.
