KMFDM

I am just arriving to the hotel after watching KMFDM, a group with quite an interesting guitar and music proposal.
But the issue in this post is not this group, and it is not because I am arriving almost 1 year late to this place where my friends, Eva and Andrew, saw AE and TSOM doing their stuff at Anaheim, CA, USA.
I appreciate your comments.

Note to self:

Never post on HL after attending a KMFDM concert. ;D

As answer to you question, if you find that music is a sacrifice for you, cut down on it.

Why is that? don't you like KMFDM music?

What do you think about it?

It is not sacrifice. To let yourself go completely could be a sacrifice. But, tonight, I found myself in a pool of people wearing dark, while I was wearing a Nautica shirt in red, with squares in blue and beige.

They're not that bad, but it is not world shocking. The pioneers of Stoner Rock, pshaw (I read that in another thread and complety forgot that Old Shatterhand thingy!;D).

Kinda weird to call a band a Pioneer of Stoner Rock, when the genre itself is just a moniker for 'everithing rock-ish that we can't fit in anywhere else'...

errr.....so what is your problem? do you worry about sticking out in a crowd? do you worry what other people think? why should music and fashion be linked?

i used to think about things like that when i was 14-16. now at the ripe old age of 26 i don't care. i wear slacker clothes and like rock.

it just doesn't matter, there are more important things in the world.

Well, I am 36 and belive me, It does matter if you want to be coherent with your life. Perhaps it is because that I find goth girls pretty attracting.

You are right about fashion and music. Do you think USA is prepared to divide music and fashion?

Just thinking.

I don't know. You tell me.
Do I have to dress like gothic people do to be a TSOM fan?
Most certainly not.
Can’t I be a regular person, or a financial executive that likes this kind of music?
I guess you can. I know some very respectable academics who like rock music just as much as I do. They aren't that many, but still.
What is it that you recommend me?
Let yourself go. And don't take advice too seriously.
Should I keep living this parallel life?
Why not ?
Should I explore my other me?
I have no problem with transsexuals.
Should I just flight to Europe to live or let live the other me in life?
Life here isn't always a piece of cake either.

Do you feel the same?
Same as ?
Is it a sin to be ruled by rules that you do not understand?
Everything for a price. Total freedom is for philosophers only.
Is it a rule to live life the way you want it, even if you suffer much by sacrificing 30% of your life (music)?
You lost me here. How 'bout a beer ?
I appreciate your comments.
You're welcome. Alternatively, I guess you can ask the Dok.

black clothes don't show the dirt and make you look slimmer. remember that when chatting up fat goth birds (90% of them i reckon  ) and imagine how big they must actually be under all that lace and velvet :urff:

i'm 36 and have dressed in almost exactly the same style of clothes since i was 14. and i look even cooler in them now than i did then (which is saying something)
wear what you want -fuck everybody else.

i did go through a faze of wearing gothy clothes (yes i had a white pirate shirt) but it wasn't very me. i've always been into the music more, even back then.

nowadays i like any good stuff (whatever that means). and my girlfriend has wrangled free tix to see kasabian vs london ochestra this sat!! :D

but i guess it must be troubling if you're confused. my advice is to just try lots of things/styles and see which one clicks the best. if you've reached 40 and you're still confused...then thats a little bit scary
