Back in the day the medias used to be manipulated, whether it be by the CIA, the FBI, etc.itnAklipse wrote:Am i the only one who wonders why on earth are news stupid as that reported?
Seriously mate, you need to get out moreitnAklipse wrote:Am i the only one who wonders why on earth are news stupid as that reported? Maybe that'd be good for the tabloids, but it's terribly suspicious that BBC has nothing better to report.
Which is all well and good, of course. Switching from lies to stupidity is perhaps a step towards improvement.
They got tired of having to manipulate audiences, so they figured they'd simply dumb them down so much that the majority are politically apathetic and then the others are divided and conquered by news channels that are so bias that anyone with two or more brain-cells (a rarity) is so disillusioned with the system that they too become apathetic; except for election time, when the government and news media see to it that everyone feels like their opinion really, really matters to keep people comfy in their "democracy".Badlander wrote:Back in the day the medias used to be manipulated, whether it be by the CIA, the FBI, etc.itnAklipse wrote:Am i the only one who wonders why on earth are news stupid as that reported?
Now they're so dumb, stupid and incompetent, you don't even need to manipulate them anymore. Just let them do their job.

That is the kind of information that sells nowadays. Not facts about habeas-corpus rights practically being revoked, but tabloid crap about “famous people’s private lives. It honestly makes me sick.
