A rake of questions re-entered my head thanks to the re-isses & I thought some of you ever so informed people might be able to clarify... (If covered before - apologies)

How long did the Eldo/Hussey/Adams demos of the follow up go on for & is this where the Eldritch versions of Garden of Delight & Dance On Glass come from - or where they prior to FALAA?

Why would've Andrew wanted to continue working with Hussey post Wake? It's a personal opinion but in the most part, his contributions to FALAA are some of the weakest...(Incidentally bar some 90/91 - is there any Hussey songs that the band have regularly played since?)

I'd read that Craig Adams was allegedly annoyed at the pay off/rights Eldritch received in the aftermath? Why -he wasn't an original member & songwriting contributions were few and far...

How come there wasn't such a tussel with Marx leaving the band - as a founder member, songwriter - etc...

Was the whole Sisterhood(s) just a pre-arranged ploy to keep both parties in the press? Hussey & Adams obviously knew they couldn't get away with it but simply to wind Andrew up sounds like a retrospective rationalisation (& unneccessary because weren't they still suppose to be initally best buds post split? And if they wanted press - surely they knew Eldritch wouldn't sit back & shouldn't expeirence have let them see they'd probably come worse off... In addition Andrew could've killed it in court, then with Giving Ground, but still went on to do Gift (no bad thing!) and reactivate it with This Corrosion...

Was there ever a Left on m*****n And Revenge?

Finally, considering Patricia's - only two people know how I feel - when she was summoned to walk the plank, have any band members post vision thing come out with similar tales of woe from the front line of Von's tyrannical reign

What a long string of questions ... to answer one or two: the thing with Gary was that he walked away quietly whereas Wayne and Craig willingly and deliberately provoked Andrew by choosing the name The Sisterhood. They never made a secret of the fact that they were looking for media attention, knowing full well that a fight with Andrew in public would make media look their way. The split was amicable enough to start with, but they were never best buddies. Not even close. When Wayne came over to Hamburg, to work with Andrew on the new album, given the working title Left On etc..., it was the first time they really spoke - this according to both parties - and they found out that they didn't know each other very well. And, ultimately, they also found out that they both wanted very different things for the new album. For Wayne the whole "corporate wars" thing was a success; he got a new band off the ground, his own this time, toured the world and lived the rock star dream. Yeah, he lost the 25.000 advance from the record company, but he got the attention he so desperately was seeking. Andrew, on the rebound, released one of the best albums in the history of music making. But, all in all, I'm sure Andrew suffered the split far worse and I'm sure he didn't see it as a 'ploy'. While Wayne and Craig was touring and doing drugs with the Cult, Andrew spent his day talking to lawyers and growing a beard.

For me, the Sisters are Von and Gary (and the Doktor, of course), and everyone else is just incidental. The two of them have kept in limited contact more recently, and there is an interview with Gary elsewhere on this site where he describes more recent relations with Von.

The VT and afterwards era band members seem to have behaved themselves in a far more civilised manner than Huss Monster and Craig "must walk out on band... must walk out on band..." Adams.

It's tempting to think so, but like Green Lantern says, the Mish got far more out of the "ploy" than Eldritch ever did.

Not sure about this. Depends on the influence of the "ploy" on Floodland.
Besides that I don't think he is interested in the success (or lack of success) of the Huss. I think Von just wanted to win this thing. At his costs.

I'm interested on when the demos for Garden Of Delight were recorded... were they during the F&L&A sessions? Or afterwards?

Craig left because he couldn't stand the constantly drugged-up Eldritch any longer. Eldritch laughed at Craig's departure, angering Wayne, who wasn't particularly keen on Eldritch by that point either, who left the band the next day.

you're meaning the nearly reunion tour in 2004 right? Craig was involved in that also. shame it never quite happened..ho hum...

Depending on which version of the story you hear it can go differently, but that contains a few new items for me.

Incidentally though, if Garden of Delight, & I presume Dance on Glass were from the FALAA sessions, was Eldritch comfortable with the notion of Wayne getting a bit more involved in the whole songwriting front or was it perhaps just a touch of appeasement?
It's funny that Marx - who I agree always felt was The Sisters with Andrew & Herr Doktor got Piosion Door as a B-side which was probably done around the same time (?) while Wayne's efforts are cast aside...

I hardly think Hussey's efforts were "cast aside." He wrote or co-wrote the 3 A-Sides to the FALAA lead-up 12"s: Body+Soul, Walk Away, NTTC, as well as a one B-Side on the NTTC single (he co-write Blood Money... or was it Bury Me Deep? Well, one of them), *and* 6 songs on the LP itself. A number of the aforementioned songs had music written entirely by Hussey, while some were co-written with Marx, Adams and Andy. Andy objected to his *lyrics* most of all around the time of FALAA, and apparently began objecting to his music around the time of the LOMAR songwriting sessions in Hamburg.
