Chop Chop

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

A while ago, the ever-helpful Badlander recommended the free VLC software to play DVDs through my desktop. However, the sound output has become horrifically choppy since then. I suspect the drive itself is out of commission, but wouldn't it then have the same effect on audio CDs? Anyone have any experience with playing DVDs through PC-DVD drives?

I am without television or player, and am limited entirely to the films I can watch through my pooter! :(

I do it all the time and generally have no problems.

You hardly have any sexy audio or video filters/enhancements turned on that may be chewing into your CPU?
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Something is sucking up all my spare RAM. Think that could be it? Time to do some cleaning up...

Cheers!
