Belgian HL Invasion!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

You laughin' at me, Flying Dutchman? :innocent:

I was listening to the numbers this morning and, to coin one of Mr. Semple's favourite phrases, nearly ended myself
..."twaalf... dertien"....

It's either us or you, but one of our nations never bothered to get a langauge of it's own

Yours, obviously :innocent:

Not laughing at you, at all, wouldn't dare to laugh at someone who's doing such an effort as to learn our fair language 8)

You'll really need Clement Peerens now though, otherwise that disk will give you one of those Dutchies accents, no doubt

I am rather worried about that actually!

I suspect it might be quite easy to slip into, as they all sound like Fifers (people from the east coast of Scotland) to me. Debs cracked me up when she spoke in Dutch, but with what sounded like a pure Edinburgh accent!

You're just a stone's throw across a small puddle, really 8)
