We also enjoyed some mighty fine guitar playing on 3 tracks from original All About Eve guitarist, Tim Bricheno.

You know, he never joined the Sisters out of fandom.. It was a job. One he gave us a lot of joy with as he is great with guitars, but a job.

"I saw what you did to Boris...on the monitors. That wasn't very nice."

As soon as you get paid, it's a job.. I always felt Tim liked The Sisters as a band, but not the politics of being part of such a big machine.

he turned down an offer awhile ago to join eldritch & catalyst on tour as von wouldnt pay him enough

Think he has his own outfit now. Julianne Regan said as much. Surely Tim was a bit of a hired gun after he left the Eves. I mean, he had played with the Mish on some summer festival dates in 1990 prior to joining the Sisters (together with the bulk of the crew). Then all the CNN stuff started...

You and your secret communiques, Herr Administrator! Who approached who? How civil was it? Or is there another guitarist burned by the Man...?

Yeah I wouldn't get out of bed for 400 sovs a gig either!

@ tim: as far as i know andy approached tim b. with something to the effect of "ey oop mate, wanna play guitar again on the forthcoming tour? a hired hand, like! 400 quid a gig...?"
to which tim b. said (and i paraphrase here) "fu
ck's chance mate!"
i gather it was seen as especially insulting given von's alledged "take home pay" per gig

Nah, he's just dropping Eves.

doh
nah, one of those grapevine-based "a friend of a friend of a friend knows tim and he was really pis
sed off the other day.... you'll never guess why!?!" kind of stories

I presume it wasnt for the whole tour then? How many dates were on the last tour? Well over 50 wasnt it?
That would be a decent amount of wedge for a couple of months work. Or am I just being naive

not 100% sure of this, but if i remember correctly it was the 2005 tour (which would make it pre-ben?)
can the-happening confirm?

To which we all now start with "The guy who runs the Sisters forum said that..."

So he would have been in instead of Chris? Interesting.

But the band for the 2005 tour was Andrew, Chris and Adam.
Posted: 09 Jan 2007, 11:51

But I thought Adam had basically indicated that after the 2003 tour he was finished with the Sisters? And that 2005 was pretty much a guest-appearance?

my dates are a little screwed
forgot what year i may have said, i'm pretty sure it was to fill the hole that adam would be leaving, as karst says.

Someone who knows Adam refered to him as the ex-guitarist prior to the 2005 tours. As Karst noted, he came back for the limited dates in 2005.

Cheers, guv'nor. As has been pointed out, you yourself are now gonna be part of that vine.

So if Tim had said yes, the line up would have been Andrew, Tim, Chris?

I think we should have an
Interview With : Quiff Boy" in the Reviews & Interviews section.
Think of the new stuff we'd all find out!
