I don't watch Big Brother but I've read about this racism thing. From what I've read, that monstrous chavvy moose lookalike Jade Goody is the protaganist. Hopefully she'll get the reaction she deserves when she gets out. Also read that she was classed as one of the most influential people in the UK (makes me embarrassed to be British when I read sh*t like that) in some ridiculous survey for 2006.

So yep, well done Carphone Wharehouse!!! 8)

saw the "highlights" of the row last night

actually, i thought jade was just a loudmouthed bully

as far as i know, the dubious remark came from that dumb-ass scouse chav (onetime-miss UK (teddy & also sheringhams girlfriend!?) - she said something like "why doesn't she just f**k off home!" about the indian housemate :urff:

that said, i dont actually watch it so may have missed lots more dodgy stuff.... and the highlights are always savagely edited :?

The worst was apparently Jade Goody's orcish mother who kept calling Shilpa "Indian" :urff:

*Edit to explain: not as a description of her nationality, where it would be true, but "because I can't pronounce your name". :urff: :urff: :urff:

Yeah, and then she said "She can't even speak English properly".
Bit rich!

With respect to Purple Light's comment. He has exposed what we are in reality dealing with here. This is not a reflection of 'Britain' as some have tried to advocate. But what we are truly dealing with is the ignorance of some and the exploitation of them by others. And yes, the main protagonists are indeed Jade Goody and Channel Four.

You have to remember we live in a country where people such as David Beckham, Jodie Marsh, Jordan and Jade Goody are regarded and held up on a pedestal as 'celebrities' and given endless hours and magazine articles of exposure. Never mind the money, stints on talk shows and their own work out videos the list goes on.

But without Goody and her family and that embarrassment to all here in Liverpool, the show would of been slow, boring and not gained any column inches in the serious media. Channel four are rubbing their hands with glee as we speak. This is a television and agents dream come true. Yes, Goody will be fleeced and scoffed at for what she has done - and maybe she is too ignorant to realise it , but the media circus will go into overdrive the moment she steps out of the 'house'. The tabloids will splash her chunky face on the cover for days maybe weeks with promises of 'exclusives of not being a racist' and pictures of the two 'making up' and being new BFF.

We all know Jade Goody's , they are everywhere in this land. Walking down your road with their arms folded, scowl on their faces shouting at some one ten yards in front of them, chastising their children in public for 'f'kin swearing and wearing pyjama bottoms outdoors. For this is the public that consider Goody a star and role model. Not me and you. But we do enjoy sitting back and watching them try to interact with the majority of us - and thats what makes for good ratings.

The proof of all this will come to a climax tomorrow when the eviction show will pinnacle beyond Channel Fours expectations, never mind the fact they are now Sky News' Main headline on the hour now! George Bush could be caught sodomizing a goat and it would not make the headlines Big Brother has this week.

Channel Four have a golden egg and they are not about to smash it.

"No publicity is bad publicity" in other words.

Yeah, totally.

So, you put uneducated, vulgar people in a house together, and wonder why they don't play nice??
It reminds me of that pointless "Wife-Swap" program that took people with clearly opposing family values mixed them up and then sat back and laughed at the pieces.
It's thoroughly anal to take something as unrealistic and contrived as Big Brother to be a microcosm of UK life and opinions.
If you want to take Big Brother as gospel for peoples attitudes, what should we make of "Undercover Mosques"? I must have missed the reaction of the future Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition to that..
