1st: Cynical folks who want to make a fast buck/euro/quid from Sisters (or any other band's) fans who have more money than sense.

2nd: See above.

I still have the cap that was sold by The Reptile House. Battered and tattered, rather like it's owner, but still wearable.

I can't believe however that it's worth the risk getting sued for cheap copycat stuff like this. I wonder what it costs the seller to produce stuff like this...

The risk of getting sued is fairly remote and unless the design has been trademarked there's very little that can be done legally. It usually ends up being more hassle than it's worth to go after merch bootleggers.

As for the costs, they're relatively low if you print up the product in bulk, usually less than £5 per shirt (for example) depending upon the quality of the shirt and the number of colours/complexity of design. One place I've found does shirts from £1.95 per item. The same place does caps (not the same style as the one here), cotton baseball cap, one spot colour to one location for £1.08 per 1000 units.

    The only Metallica shirt I have is a boot, baught outside the gig at Newcastle Arena on the Load Tour for £5. The shirt was of a better quality than the offical merch, not bad print quality either and £10 cheaper.
