26 years and still going?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Not as good as Motorhead, but better than The Birthday Party, which makes us pretty damn good.

And it seems like 25 years, ever after ever more more more...
...since they released any new material... :(

A mate at Poison Door insists that news had leaked through there was a new album in the making.
He refers to some music journalist from germany as source. I guess these look here for the news they write down about the Sisters, so I guess this is just feedback noise, a misunderstood rumour.. :(

I don't think there'll play much this year, give Andy a rest, hopefully a smaller tour in 2008 is possible :)... as long as it envoles the UK!

After last year's tour I think they all need to take a long sit down................

....... in front of a mixing desk putting the finishing touches to a new LP.

One Near Meth gig at Joseph's Well would do for me. :D

Don't think they'll play much either really. Chris & Ben have both got their own things they can be getting on with so they'll be happy. Maybe a few festival appearances in the summer though. I'm sure Von's voice will be back by then.

Much prefer it if they were in a studio as well of course...

seeing as last year's birthday was squandered on a load of unappreciative, smoke-fearing, hard of hearing, cowboys... [/gross generalisation of u.s. sisters audiences] ...it would be nice to have a slice of cake and a game of pass-the-parcel oop north on feb 16...seeing as we'll be there t'day after anyway.
