A Cod Piece is a contrivance worn by men to protect/enhance their - um Nether Regions - Check out the BBC's Black Adder II - to see what I mean! - Cricket Players also use them and they are called a "Box"

Thank you. That helps. Around here the only herbs we smoke besides normal tobacco are illegal. No clove at all. ALthough I've heard the expression in "Black #1": "her clove cigarrettes", etc.
But we do have corsets!
Seems we are the only ones so far to score more than 50%...

I guess it must be a "Goth" thing!
Besides what sort of Goth/Industrial DJ would I be if I could not score well on "Goff" test

And besides, yes, I'm thinking about those black satin sheets for aaaages.
Somehow my money always finds other priorities.
One more question: what's a REN-FEST? That one really puzzled me. I said yes because I disguise on Carnival.

Ren Fest ? - No idea - perhaps its some sort of "Whitby" goff festival thingy - does anyone know?

I do! I do! *Jumps up and down foolishly*
It's short for Renaissance Festival - or "Faire," hehehe. Hundreds of people gather, most in Renaissance-period costume, in a fairground-type area that's been completely decked out (often with great accuracy) like an English village from that era. There's "traditional" fare, lots of beer and mead(e), silly entertainment, and LOTS of loverly trinkets, jewelry, super-expensive handmade clothing, artwork, weaponry, and other lust objects to buy. It's all very cheesy, but it's great fun. Sometimes, you even get to meet the smelly, redheaded (sorry, Paddy!) Virgin (ha!) Queen herself!!!

OK - I consider myself "Told!" by the lovely Sinny
Talking of "medieval" fairs - about 10 miles from my current location there is "Cosmeston" celtic village - a reconstructed village / museum - where fairs and jousts and battles take place on a Very regular basis - much meade is partaken and many damsels are "debauched" - if you know what I mean.
I have never bothered attending myself - after Sinnys description I think I will soon

Yes, americans especially like it a lot, or so it seemed to me. I personally think it's the g*th version of children smoking to act more adult. Like a <i'm-smoking-clove-cigarettes-so-i'm-so-g*th-and-you-know-it> thing. Of course, some people might actually like it.
Corsets are our own <espartilhos>, and very lovable they are too hum hum

Not exactly like carnaval DI. Carnaval has a fixed date, ren fests can happen whenever someone decides to have one, usually in the summer, due to the weather and more people on holidays. And unlike Carnaval, which is basically everyone doing whatever they want, drink, sex, have stupidly fun times, ren fests are re-enactements (i don't know how to spell this word
) of times that are no more. It's more like an interactive time play. Like Sin said, cheesy but all in great fun. I've never been to one, but would like to.
But in Europe, at least in portugal, but i imagine other coutries have it too, we have medieval faires, in cities which have castles and the likes. They are exactly like ren fests, but the action takes place a few hundred years before the renaissance, they take place in (obviously) medieval times. But unlike americans we have
real castles he he.
well....
